As I approach the last leg of the journey I had good feedback from Michele on my review. However she suggested it needed a little more confluence. I hope this brings a smile but I didn’t know what the word meant! I researched it! Low and behold I pulled the work a bit more together in my conclusion. I’ve since asked three other people and they didn’t know what it meant either so I feel a little better. On reflection what has been really good is the fact that we have had two tutors. I was initially a little sceptical and fearful of keeping up with two lots of work but they do go hand in glove. The research has without doubt really informed and inspired my drawings. I just hope I’ve put everything in context and given sufficient explanations about why I’ve made such decisions and at which junctures. I really feel I owe a lot to the tutors and the support has been really beneficial. It has been a very difficult subject to tackle and at times emotionally draining. I just hope I can still do the children justice and I find a suitable venue that will take on this exhibition.
